We had a great birdwatching holiday with Bert and Marianne in the Alentejo regio in Portugal. We enjoyed the 1,5 day guiding tour with Bert to Laguna Santo André and steppes. If you want to see lovely birds you have to get up early in the morning. Bert knows all the spots and is allowed to guide in nature reservates. He has a great humour and knowledge of the birds is excellent.
We have seen over one hundred different birds, due to the different habitats like meadows, steppes, woodlands, rivers and seaside. We prefer Alentejo above Extremadura.
In the future we want to visit again late summer early autumn to enjoy the birds, nature and hospitallity of Monte Horizonte.
