Birding Holiday

We are one of the few that are fully licensed to visit protected birding areas with our clients. We are licensed under number 50/2014 in the National Register of Agents Tourist Entertainment for birding.

There is a wide variety of bird life in the Monte Horizonte´s vicinity, notably one of Europe's most interesting ornithological enigmas, the Azure Winged Magpie (Cyanopica cyana).

This species only occurs in the southern Iberian Peninsula. Also present near Monte Horizonte are a wide variety of Warblers, Stonechats, two species of Shrikes, Bee-eaters, Redstarts, Red-legged Partridges, two varieties of Woodpeckers and three of Eagles, (Short-toed, Booted and Golden), as well as other raptors.

As well as the wealth of local species surrounding Monte Horizonte, there are six areas within an hours car journey which are ideal for Birdwatching. We combine the cliffs at the ocean, the lagoons, an estuary, woods, lakes and steppes in just one birding holiday. And of course you can make use of our bird hide on Monte Horizonte free of charge.
